During my 3 weeks of solo travelling in Japan I had a small bucket list of things I wanted to experience. Few of those things were food related.
I completely missed Kichi Kichi Omurice, the best omelette in Kyoto (or Japan apparently) because I didn’t book (dah) and Tsuta, the Michelin star restaurant in Kyoto because, although prices are as low as 13/15 dollars, the queue to be served will steal few hours of your life. As someone that ate (at least) ramen twice a day during my stay in Japan, no thank you.
But, one morning I felt inspired, cancelled all my plans, jumped on the first train to Kobe (from Osaka) and went there for lunch, just to try Kobe beef.
Almost 150$ poorer, I still confirm it was worth it.
