Ko-garyu main shop. We’re here at American village, or “Ame-Mura” today. This is a shopping area for young people, and the streets are busy all the time. Located in front of “Sankaku Koen”, or triangle park, Kogaryu has been in business for over forty years.

Other than the classic tako-yaki, there’s something called a “tako-sen”, which is takoyaki in between rice crackers. This shop has a variety of menus, unlike ordinary takoyaki shops. There’s also tons of flavors to choose from.

The staff at Kogaryu knows how to cook a takoyaki quickly, as you can see from their beautiful takoyaki-making skill. There’s yam blended in the dough, and the takoyakis are cooked on a takoyaki iron plate in high heat.

Today we had the authentic flavor, the sauce and the mayo with bonito flakes sprinkled on top.
