A few days ago I decided to test the optical zoom (up to 30x) of my new Sony DSC-HX99. From my vantage point at the 9th floor of the CCHMC S-building I focused on certain points in the distance. Window (sorry, a bit dirty) faced west (southwest to northwest). Sorry for the background noise, I think it’s from the building’s heating system. The camera zoom is kind of noisy, but I am generally quite satisfied with the video quality of this camera, especially concerning flight recordings (used it with some new ones that I will upload soon).
