One of the most famous attractions in Miyagi is the “Miyagi Zao Fox Village” in the town of Shiroishi.
In the Fox Village, 250 foxes of 6 different kinds roam free in a spacious area designed to give them all the comfort they need! There is even a small “Inari” shrine inside!
Visitors are allowed to enter the area and admire the foxes directly.
But is important to respect the cute foxes and to not disturb them. While taking pictures and admiring them, refrain to pet and getting too close to the animals!
From our Guest House, it takes 1 hour by car. Trains to Shiroishi are also available from Sendai Station!
“Miyagi Zao Fox Village” is one of the spots you can’t miss during your trip in Japan.
