[ Japan | October 2019 ]

We were caught in the onset of Typhoon Hagibis in Japan, but we still managed to see Nara despite the alarming weather forecasts.

Drenched and soaked even with umbrellas and raincoats, we had the privilege to explore the place, and some without any other tourists with us. Perhaps that says something about us being stubborn about the weather warnings? Haha~

It was difficult to film; I believe I tempted fate a lot of times while holding out my camera in the rain. It survived, thankfully.

Nara is such a beauty. The massive temples were humbling and awe-inspiring at the same time. Videos and photos don’t do them justice; I felt like a small speck in the universe standing beside them. The deer were a pleasure to mingle with, too. Sometimes you’d want to pet them, sometimes you’d think they’d bite off your hand, haha 🙂

We ended the day a bit earlier than planned and headed back to Kyoto–where our hotel was–since family and friends have been messaging us to get our butts out of there and back in our room (the weather news back in the Ph was scary, apparently).

And back to Kyoto we went… but we ended up going to Nishiki Market and ending the day at Ichiran Ramen. More of those on the next vlogs 🙂

In the meantime, enjoy the *shaky* visual diary 🙂
