BRAND NEW Boeing 787-10 @EVA Air 長榮航空 BR316 Brisbane - Taipei Economy Review + SilverKris Lounge

The real reason why I’m flying from Brisbane to Taipei, and onwards to Bangkok and Amsterdam is to status run so that I could keep my Krisflyer Gold Status (which entitles me to use the Star Alliance lounges, extra 20kg luggage, waived fee charges, use of express queues, better service, etc.). Having tried Singapore Airlines and Asiana Airlines, I thought I’d give EVA Air a shot, seeing as they do fly to Brisbane. Not to mention that the higher classed tickets were fairly priced (very crucial for mileage runs, because cheapest on-sale economy tickets usually don’t accrue miles). Thai Airways and ANA were not worth mileage running with.

That said, I did enjoy EVA Air’s Boeing 787-10, and they certainly deserve their 5 star status. They fall slightly short on the food section, and the lounge offering from Brisbane (still a good lounge though, just overcrowded and understaffed).
