About the ride
Expect some good ups and downs throughout the course, and about 4000 vertical feet of climbing throughout a 40+ mile course. A cross, gravel, mountain or fat bike will be your ride of choice for this event, something with 32 cc or bigger is really what’s calling your name. You can find a good pace; hit some intensity with the lead group or take it easy and still get back for lunch. This is not a super long event but don’t be fooled, it is difficult. There is a sustained 5 mile climb up Moses Pond Road and a 21%, 900 meter climb up Johnson Hill Road which will both bring on some pain. In 2017, a class VI extension from Stone Place to Priest Lane has made a more challenging 3 mile finish.
