Today we’re having fun in Harajuku!

We set out with the intent of ending up in Harajuku, Tokyo’s district famous for it’s costumes, crazy foods and “quirky” pop culture. But first we head over to Shibuya, where we accidentally stumble into the Hokkaido Fair in Yoyogi Park.

We get to see live music (which we really enjoyed) and stroll through the many food stalls that make up this yearly food event and celebration. This ended up being such a fun and unexpected morning.

We do our best to manage our hunger and save our appetites for lunch at our favorite sushi train restaurant in Tokyo, Katsumidori Seibu Shibuya.

We finally make our way to Harajuku and stroll down the famous Takeshita street which is home to that crazy culture we had heard so much about. We pop into a few fun shops where we see all of the strange things one can buy on a trip to Harajuku. You’ll have to watch to see what we mean . . .

This is only part 1 of our day in Harajuku. In our next video, we try the best cappuccino Jenny has ever had. You won’t want to miss it! 🙂
