A trip to Matsumoto in Nagano prefecture.

I used the Seishun 18 ticket (青春１８きっぷ) which only allows local train travel, so it took 5 hours each way. I was dead by the end of the trip so I do not recommend… If you take the Shinkansen bullet train or the Azusa limited express, Matsumoto is a very reasonable day trip from Tokyo (around 2.5-3 hours one way)
Matsumoto is home to the famous Matsumoto Castle, and is the birthplace of Yayoi Kusama. Soba and basashi (horse meat sashimi) are supposed to be famous here but Selena didn’t eat either.
