ME-CHA-KU-CHA. A ramen restaurant that almost looks like a cafe is located in Nishiohashi, where a lot of popular restaurants are.

Take a look at the menu and see some of the unique ramen, like the porcini noodle and the Tom yam kung noodle. You can see that this place is no ordinary ramen stand.

The stickers show that this place has been featured on a famous Osaka tv show.

The warm light bulb color and the wooden interior is a great match, giving the restaurant its comfy atmosphere.

We waited for our ramen to finish cooking, listening to the sizzling sound of the gyoza dumplings. Since the gyoza dumpling looked so good, we are going to order it next time we are here.

Today we ordered the sudachi ramen. Sudachi is a kind of citrus similar to a lime, and is used for many Japanese food. Some people like to squeeze them on their sashimi, and you’ll be surprised how well it matches the noodles too.
On top of the noodle you can see some toppings like the sliced sudachi, seasoned egg, chopped leek, and roasted pork. The soup is clear, and has a refreshing taste. The noodles they serve at this restaurant is homemade.
Since the noodle was so good, we ordered a “kaedama” which is another batch of noodles you can add to your ramen bowl after you finish your first noodle.

Also this is a Lulohan, which is a Taiwanese dish. Although we ordered a lot, we ate every bite left, including the soup.
