Ise Jingu Grand Shrine (伊勢神宮) is one of the most important and sacred Shinto Shrines in Japan. It is located in Ise City (伊勢市) of Mie Prefecture. In fact there are two parts of this shrine, one is called “Naiku” or the inner shrine (内宮), second is the “Geku”, or the outer shrine (外宮).
This video depicts the Naiku or the inner shrine and the main worshiped deity in this shrine is Amaterasu-Omikami or the Sun Goddess. The main worshipped area is out of bounds for cameras, so this video goes only up to the outer areas of the Shrine’s main worship hall.
