In 2019 I was lucky to visit some beautiful places around the world. I started the year with a winter trip to Japan where I explored the lesser known areas around Kyoto before heading off to Byron Bay to catch some sunshine.

This was followed by three weeks in China in May where I visited Zhangjiajie (Avatar Mountains), Yangshuo, Guilin and my parent’s hometown Shanghai. It was such an incredible trip and I just love the natural landscapes of China. Soon after I ended back to Japan to eat our way around Tokyo and explore Ishigaki, Iriomote and Taketomi Island.

In July, I headed back to Japan again to Tokyo for a work project, before heading off on a solo trip around Hokkaido which was incredible (actually sadly I think there are no clips of Hokkaido here, because I didn’t take any). September I headed to Sydney, October back to China to see Guangzhou and Macao. November Tom and I visited beautiful Bali before finishing our year with Christmas in Vancouver.

It was an unexpectedly busy year travel wise for me, I don’t normally travel this much. But it was filled with so many moments to remember that I thought I’d make a video to celebrate these highlights.

If you want to find out more about these destinations, you can head to my blog to check out all my travel guides and tips.

Clips filmed by myself, Tom (@tomdebonofilm), Jess (@jyslakay) & my sister Rowena.

Hope you enjoy! x
