World Heritage Site winter light up here in Shirakawa-go!
The area has been of great importance for its traditional Japanese style thatched roof houses, existing for over 300 years. Even up to now local people still live in the fairy-tale like village. Light up is only held for a short period while snow piles up in winter. Please do make a trip for the fantastic light on a mellow night!
