A typical late spring/early summer Texas thunder storm passes through DFW – but unusually in January. Some views from DFW’s skylink station (DFW’s inter-terminal train service). The entire airport was shut briefly and even the trains (skylink) were suspended briefly.
The announcement of skylink services being on hold due to the weather and alternative ways of passengers to go between terminals can be heard from 2:58 to 3:40 (and obviously passengers needing to go from E to any other terminals get the shaft). Also the DFW police cruiser in 1:20 and 1:46 adds a nice touch. And as usual at DFW, a bunch of MD80s are seen and for a brief moment a Delta Connection CRJ900 tail comes into view at 3:42 (N920XJ… my delayed ride to SLC for the afternoon).
This is how I amused myself during my 2+ hour flight delay! (Jan 29, 2013).
