With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics around the corner, and lessons learned from our previous adventures trying to drive a Proton Saga to Vietnam, this year (2019) we decided investigate if travelling around Japan in a Toyota Hiace Campervan could be an alternative for the 40 Million Tourist that are expected to visit Japan in 2020.
In this episode, you’ll find out how’s it like to live, sleep, got to toilet, and where to shower in Japan, and where to find tattoo-friendly Japanese public bathhouse when travelling in a Campervan. We rented our Toyota Hiace SLWB = Super Long Wheel Base from Camping Car の Fuji.

Being heavily influenced by Japanese Culture since young, so when making this video I sought to put pieces of my childhood in there. I can recall spending hours watching Ultraman fight Godzilla, countless days playing Super Mario Bros, and Street Fighter II. It’s unbelievable how much of a profound impression Japan has left on me.
There are a lot of other information and inspiration on travelling Japan, we took ours from these wonderful more established channels. Check them out.
