In the middle of the charming Japanese hot spring town of YuFuin is a Japanese re-creation of a traditional Swiss village in the Alps. The village is based on the popular cartoon “Heidi A Girl of the Alps.” Having just visited Switzerland before Japan I found this to be a very interesting cultural combination.
