It is easily accessible from Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, and has been crowded with tourists as a hot spring resort since the Edo period.
It is located on Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, southwest of Tokyo, facing Sagami Bay. The whole area of Izu Peninsula belongs to Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park where Mt. Fuji is located, and Atami City is also located in a volcanic hilly area. There are many natural hot springs, and it has been famous as a resort for a long time, and there are many public hot spring facilities in the city. Also, there is an artificial sandy beach in Sagami Bay.
We hold fireworks displays in spring, summer, autumn and winter, so you can enjoy them outside of hot springs.
