The last Shinkansen video I had laying around; this is a partial clip of a ride from Yokohama to Nagoya, as my camera ran out of electricity about 9/10 the way through. The scenery here becomes more rural than the first two inner-Tokyo videos. However, due to being outside of the city, this is also when the Shinkansen train is allowed to pick up its pace as it reaches its full speed of 270km/h while everything outside the window becomes a streak of light for a few minutes. My entry-level camera, around 5:25 to 6:18, has no chance of properly auto-focusing due to this speed.
I also lost my grip a couple of times due to the conductor checking our tickets and me pestering the food-cart lady with my horribly-butchered Japanese grammar for something to eat. In a couple of years I’ll be revisiting Japan with better camera equipment and better knowledge of proper photography, and hopefully it won’t be so underwhelming next time. Until then, more Team Fortress 2 videos are coming soon, because I know that’s what many of you want.
