9月最後の週末に開催した、秋のツール・ド・ニッポン。旅先は、三重県の伊勢鳥羽へ。鳥羽や志摩などでとれた海産物を、伊勢の神宮へ奉納した……そんな歴史を思いながら、鳥羽からの伊勢詣りサイクリングがスタートした。

The Papersky Tour traveled to Ise & Toba, headquarters to Japan’s most sacred gods. Ise & Toba are both located in Mie prefecture and are in abundance of all things Japanese. Some of the freshest seafood in the country can be found in the Toba area as well as women divers called Ama San who dive deep for the precious mollusca, abalone and pearls. We’ll ride from Toba to Ise, home to Ise Jingu which enshrines Japan’s most venerated deity Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess in the Inner Shrine (Naiku) and also home to Toyouke deity of clothing, food and housing,who resides in the Outer Shrine (Geku).
