In this video, my family and I paid a visit to The Prince Edward County Lavender Farm, and the Closson Chase Winery. Located in the Hillier Wine region of Prince Edward County, a short 20 minute drive from Belleville.
There are a few Lavender fields near Toronto, but this one has been on our family weekend bucketlist because this year, they celebrated their 8th annual Lavender Festival. We’d read about Live Music, A Portable Petting Zoo, and a Lavender Fairy online, who would all be attending this year. We are so glad we made it for the last day of the festival, where we got to enjoy them all, and taste some delicious Lavender Gelato!
After our trip to the PEC, we stopped not far down the road for a Closson Chase Wine Tasting, which could not have been more enjoyable and beautiful. The property itself is so majestic, it would be hard for anyone visiting not to fall in love with their exquisite wines and enjoy the scenery. What was totally amazing and unexpected about our visit there, was that the wonderful people at Closson Chase gave my son Aiden a great big red Freeze to enjoy while we adults sampled the phenomenal wines!
Thank you to Closson Case Winery for making our very first expirience at a winery as a family so incredible and enjoyable.
Admission was $10 for the Festival, Free for kids under 12 ($5 throughout the regular season) Parking was Free and On Site, making this already amazing experience even sweeter!
