Was lucky today to be able to have a meal made by a Kobe Beef master chef Hiroshi Hinokami courtesy of my brother who saved up his money for this day for over a year to pay for this meal for us tonight.
Particularly enjoyed talking to him about his technique of making garlic rice — he said that “anyone can do it” — provided, of course, you were willing to work about 6 months learning how to do it properly.
It was interesting because he said that the hardest part for him was learning how to cook while also talking to customers at the same time — I hear a similar thing about Let’s Players in video games, who often complain about the fact that it’s very difficult to play their games while also providing commentary. It took a bit of practice to do myself in my streaming videos, and more recently, doing politics, too.
Guess talking and doing will always be two separate parts of the brain.
