Off to Osaka!
From Tokyo we took the train to Osaka. Our hostel was in the heart of all the excitement, great food and great vibes. Osaka has streets upon streets of shopping that are all centered around the river. Here we tried many firsts to Japanese cuisine: okonomiyaki, tako-yaki (squid balls). We went to a store that had a bunch of Japanese snacks and candy: bourbon mochi balls, squid jerky, dried fish, dried octopus, baby squid, sardines, beans and more. We also ate these giant dumplings which later became a staple for our trip.
