Royal Caribbean Forces Single Mother To Turn To Media To Recoup $2950 Charge For Facial Treatment A single Mom with a 10 year old boy were on the Allure of the Seas this summer and on the last day of their cruise the cruise line delivered the final bill for all on board spending to their cabin. The final bill showed a charge for a facial treatment for $2950.00 US and it had been charged to the Mother’s credit card. The passenger immediatly took up this charge with the front desk and they sent her to the Spa where the charge originated from. Once there she was told that there was nothing they could do as she had authorized the cruise line to perform the treatment for the price charged. The problem was that the amount she was quoted was $29.50 and it was a special promotion to boot! The spa did not show here the paper work where she had agreed to the charge and only after she returned home to confront Royal Caribbean management was she able to see that the amount of $2950 was changed to $2950.00, her autograph had been forged and a note was made to the spa staff that she had won $2500 in the caino the night before! Royal Caribbean refunded her the entire amount of the facial treatment but did not admit to any wrong doing.
