Today we catch the Shinkansen from Tokyo station to Nagano to visit the Jigokudani Monkey Park, home to the Japanese “Snow Monkeys”. The park is located in Yamanouchi, Nagano Prefecture west of Tokyo, and is by no means a straightforward place to get to, but IS well worth the effort.
After fighting our way through Tokyo station to catch a Shinkansen to Nagano, uur trips gets off to a rough start with a missed connection, but in the end the day works out to be a great success.
