【4K】Takoyaki : Street food in Kyoto – たこ焼き | Japan food guide

Takoyaki or octopus balls is one of Japanese street foods originated in Osaka that is baked into a spherical shape with a diameter of 3-5cm by adding octopus and condiments to the wheat flour dough.
This time, I took a video of making takoyaki at Marukou Suisan Kyoto Teramachi store.
The takoyaki offered at this shop is a takoyaki with a gentle texture that focuses on the ingredients.
~ There is a drama that can be takoyaki ~ It was the word of the shopkeeper.

✅How to make Takoyaki↓
1. A takoyaki container of iron castings with a number of hemispherical depressions (for some products, cast aluminum, copper plate, aluminum plate, stainless steel plate) is heated by heating. Apply oil to the dents to avoid sticking.
2. Pour the dough with the seasoning from the flour melted in the dashi soup into the dent of the takoyaki bowl and add ingredients such as octopus.
3. After heating for a while and the surface in contact with the takoyaki burns crisply, insert a pointed cone into the surface of the dent, peel it around the periphery of the dent, then peel it up and down one by one in the dent. Invert and pour down the dough inside and bake it into a sphere. The best way to create a texture is to create hemispheres and create cavities inside.
4. Once baked, stab or scoop up with a cone, transfer to a container, coat with sauce, if you want, sprinkle with mayonnaise, and sprinkle with green seaweed and shavings.

Thank you Marukousuisan!!
