Walking through the back streets of the Katsura area of Kyoto on a Sunday afternoon. The streets and roads were quiet but life was going on. I began at the Kami-Katsura, meaning Upper Katsura, train station and made my way to main Katsura station, on the Osaka-Kyoto train line. From this area of the city, it is 25 minutes to central Kyoto and 40 minutes to Osaka.
