Hatsumode 初詣 is the first shrine visit of the New Year. Traditionally in Japan people attend a shrine to pray for health, prosperity and a variety of other things at the very beginning of the year. This is my hatsumode to Hachiman jinja in Hamamatsu. Hope you enjoy!
