To begin with, make sure to carry your passport, valid driver’s license and international driver’s license (Geneva Convention), without these 3 pieces of IDs they might turn you down at the door.
An international driver’s license can be applied at your local RTO office and make sure it’s issued by a signatory to the 1949 Geneva Convention since the Vienna Convention is NOT accepted in Japan. You will require an international license to translate your foreign license.
If this is your first time then MUST watch the instructional video at the Maricar shop and follow your instructor carefully.
Same goes with cosplay where you will have great first experience in the wonderful world of Japanese cosplay, pick your favorite character. I played Batman just to match the color of my wheels 🙂
Some of the main attractions were drive through famous Harajuku and Shibuya districts where you’ll get lots of attention from friendly locals. We were the center of attention throughout the streets of Tokyo.
On a positive note, in Tokyo, they drive on the left side of the road the same as India. Anyway just follow your instructor and you should be fine.
In Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto, you can select the 1, 2 or 3-hour course with prices ranging from 2500 yen to 5500 yen which includes insurance, a costume, and an instructor. You can also opt to seat behind the instructor as I did via paying 2500 Yen for 1-hour tour
is driving Go Karting dangerous? Well, it depends! Be a responsible driver and you’ll be just fine.
You also have the option to rent the accessories ranging from an action camera to a Bluetooth speaker so you can further enjoy your favorite Mario Kart game.
Discounts!! Make sure to read all the details on their website to avoid any misinterpretations.
