Throwback to last year. We were in Japan during fall. This was the first time we had ever witnessed Fall Colors (Koyo). We spent a few days in Fujikawaguchiko on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, one of the best places to see Mt. Fuji. This is the first of three episodes from our time there.
We took a train from Tokyo station to Ōtsuki where we changed to Fujikyu railway. Fujikyu railway is run by a Swiss company which specializes in running trains up the Swiss Alps. This ride is one of the most beautiful train ride we had in Japan. Once we were all settled in our beautiful guesthouse, we rented bicycles to cycle around the Lake Fujikawaguchiko. It’s a beautiful trail to cycle and we also found an amazing market and some surreal views of Mount Fuji.
