In Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Jujutsu High is instrumental to maintaining order throughout jujutsu society. Alongside Kyoto Jujutsu High, the institution is responsible for training Japan’s next generation of sorcerers, and over the years, the school has produced high profile sorcerers like Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Kento Nanami.

By the end of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, almost every current student at Tokyo Jujutsu High has demonstrated their abilities in combat, giving a clearer picture of the school’s pecking order. As the intensity of the Culling Game continues to ramp up, JJK’s protagonists will need these sorcerers-in-training to maximize their potential if they hope to stop Kenjaku’s nefarious plot.

For the sake of this list, these rankings are based on each student’s strength at the end of Jujustu Kaisen Season 3.

Nobara Kugisaki Lacks the Raw Power of Her Fellow Classmates

All the students at Tokyo Jujutsu High are talented, but unfortunately, one of these young sorcerers does stand out as the weakest. Nobara Kugisaki, one of the three first-year students at the school, is more than capable of holding her own against most Cursed Spirits, yet she clearly doesn’t have the firepower needed to survive against Jujutsu Kaisen’s strongest characters.

To Nobara Kugisaki’s credit, her Cursed Technique — Resonance — is extremely versatile, and as support, she can catch almost any enemy off-guard. Sadly, this didn’t save her from Mahito, who gravely injured Nobara during the events of the Shibuya Incident. Currently, her status is up-in-the-air, making it unlikely she plays a role in the Culling Game anytime soon.

Kirara Hoshi Has One of JJK’s Most Complicated Cursed Techniques

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 introduces several new characters to the story, including a few previously-unseen students from Tokyo Jujutsu High. Although Kirara Hoshi is significantly weaker than their close friend (and apparent romantic partner), Kinji Hakari, they’re still a talented sorcerer in their own right.

Based on their clash with Megumi Fushiguro, Kirara has a strong handle on their Cursed Technique, Love Rendezvous, which is extremely impressive considering the complex nature of Love Rendezvous and its constellation marks. The fact that this third-year student has mastered their complex Cursed Technique is a testament to their skills, even if they aren’t nearly as strong as some of the other students at the school.

Panda Can Alternate Between Three Different Fighting Styles

Based on visual appearance alone, it’s clear that Panda is a much different sorcerer than the other students at Tokyo Jujutsu High. The anthropomorphic panda is a unique Cursed Corpse with the ability to create his own Cursed Energy thanks to Principal Masamichi Yaga’s research, and within him lies three distinct “cores” that all have their own personalities and combat styles.

So far, Jujutsu Kaisen has shown off two of Panda’s three forms, the second of which is Gorilla. Using these two forms, the second-year Tokyo Jujutsu High student has survived clashes with Suguru Geto and Mechamaru, proving he has enough raw strength to stand against most normal sorcerers and Cursed Spirits. If their third form is any stronger than Panda or Gorilla, then Principal Yaga’s creation may very well be even more powerful than expected.

Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Speech Is One of JJK’s Most OP Techniques

Inumaki Toge shouting with cursed speech

Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot of overpowered Cursed Techniques, but few are more difficult to deal with than Cursed Speech. With the ability to command other sorcerers and Cursed Spirits by simply using their voice, Cursed Speech users like Toge Inumaki can make short work of most opponents, and unless they run into fighters with excessively large reserves of Cursed Energy, they have almost no exploitable weaknesses.

Unfortunately, Toge Inumaki’s status is a bit up-in-the-air following Ryomen Sukuna’s destruction of Shibuya, which took the Tokyo Jujutsu High student’s left arm in the process. While it doesn’t seem like this resulted in their death, it almost certainly took a toll on their overall abilities as a fighter, even if most of Inumaki’s power stems from his assumedly undamaged Cursed Technique.

Megumi Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows Technique Is a Game Changer

Megumi Fushiguro is one of three first-year students at Tokyo Jujutsu High, but compared to Nobara Kugisaki and Yuji Itadori, he has significantly more experience with jujutsu sorcery than his peers. In addition to being raised by Satoru Gojo, Fushiguro hails from the Zenin Clan and wields their premiere hereditary ability: the Ten Shadows Technique.

Using the Ten Shadows Technique, Megumi Fushiguro can summon a range of powerful shikigami, including the ever-adapting monstrosity known as Mahoraga. While the young sorcerer is still figuring out how to properly manifest their Domain Expansion and utilize their various shikigami, Fushiguro has quickly proven in Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Game Arc that he’s a notch above most sorcerers.

Yuji Itadori Has Immense Untapped Potential

Unlike most jujutsu sorcerers, Yuji Itadori’s talents don’t stem from a notable Cursed Technique; instead, Jujutsu Kaisen’s main character power comes from a mixture of raw strength, incredible tenacity, and a terrifying amount of sheer talent. Blessed by the sparks of Cursed Energy itself, Yuji Itadori has survived numerous clashes with Special Grade-level Cursed Spirits and jujutsu sorcerers, and he’s only getting stronger with each arc.

Itadori deosn’t have a Cursed Technique of his own (yet), so it’s tough to say that he stands a chance of defeating Tokyo Jujutsu High’s three strongest students. However, considering Itadori currently houses Ryomen Sukuna, who is nearing his full strength after consuming 16 of their fingers, JJK’s protagonist is arguably the most dangerous character in the entire series.

Maki Zenin Has Transformed Into the Modern-Day Toji Zenin

In the eyes of some JJK characters, Maki Zenin represents the lowest level of jujutsu sorcery. The female member of the Zenin Clan has no Cursed Energy, making her incapable of not only utilizing Cursed Techniques but also unable to even see Cursed Spirits. However, thanks to her Heavenly Restriction and power-up in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, Maki Zenin has since become the modern-day incarnation of Toji Zenin.

In JJK Season 3, Maki Zenin takes on the entire Zenin Clan by herself and kills every notable sorcerer the clan has. This includes multiple Grade 1-level sorcerers and dozens of other dangerous fighters, so there’s little doubt Maki’s power exceeds that of other students like Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro. That said, despite her immense strength, the scourge of the Zenin Clan still isn’t the strongest student at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Kinji Hakari’s Passion and Domain Expansion Make Him a 1-on-1 Nightmare

Prior to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, audiences had yet to meet a single third-year student from Tokyo Jujutsu High. The prelude to the Culling Game finally broke this seal by introducing Kinji Hakari, who quickly demonstrated just how hot their passion ran in a brutal beatdown of Yuji Itadori.

According to Yuta Okkotsu, Kinji Hakari’s strength even exceeds that of his own. While this may very well be an instance of Okkotsu being overly humble, Hakari is no joke when it comes to a one-on-one fight, and as manga readers are aware, all but the strongest sorcerers would be outclassed in a duel against Tokyo Jujutsu High’s most rebellious student.

Yuta Okkotsu Is the Closest Thing Tokyo Jujutsu High Has to Satoru Gojo

Of all the Tokyo Jujutsu High students in Jujutsu Kaisen, none is more powerful than Yuta Okkotsu. The star of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is one of four Special Grade Sorcerers, and with a Special Grade shikigami, his Copy Cursed Technique, and near-bottomless reserves of Cursed Energy, Okkotsu is quite possibly the strongest contestant currently involved in the Culling Game.

Yuta Okkotsu has defeated Suguru Geto, Takako Uro, Ryu Ishigori, and Special Grade Cursed Spirit Kurourushi since becoming a jujutsu sorcerer, giving him more impressive one-on-one victories than arguably any other character in JJK. The series’ protagonists will need him to be at the top of his game as the Culling Game continues, as Okkotsu is currently the best chance that the world has of stopping Kenjaku and Sukuna’s respective plans.
