This is a hidden gem and the train itself is 760¥. Whole day too so you can ride and stop at any stop.

Train departs from Kōge to Wakasa and back. Getting to Kōge is via Tottori. I took the Super Inaba to Kōge and Super Hakuto back to Tottori.

Really gives you a quaint feeling with the picturesque mountains, sakura blossoming with a cozy temperature of 11 degrees; was raining when I was there

Definitely go off the beaten path!
