KAGOSHIMA JAPAN 🌋 We Saw the Volcano ERUPT! | 40th Anniversary Cruise Update!
Today we’re taking you with us to Kagoshima, Japan—and this turned out to be a truly unforgettable day 🌋
We visited the incredible Sakurajima volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world—and while we were there… it actually erupted.
We booked a private tour for this port because the standard cruise excursions didn’t include all of the viewpoints—and that turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made. We were able to visit multiple viewing areas, a fascinating visitor center, and even experience a geothermal foot bath.

I was in Bonaire today. A lot cruise ships skip this port. But it has great diving and snorkeling. I did the latter.

Everyone should visit Yellowstone National Park. We are so lucky to have it in the USA.
Was that a lavender colored suitcase I saw? Very cool….can’t miss that on the belt! Glad you had a great time there.
I was fortunate to witness Mt. Kilauea erupting in Hawaii last year and Mt. Arenal in Costa Rica many years ago. These are rare occurrences you never forget.
Iceland is a place we really enjoyed. Very different from any place we have been.
Japan was definitely one of our most memorable trips. I totally agree with you that the people are just so helpful and so respectful everywhere. I would do Japan over and over again and go to so many other places in the country. There is so much beauty in this country and it is so diverse. How exciting to see the volcano irrupt this is a once in a lifetime experience. Continue enjoy enjoying your anniversary trip.
