    It’s a nice area. On the weekends you can also go on Chichibu Railway SL Paleo Express.
    This is also in our Family Vacation this August.
    But for the SL Train it’s recommended to book in advance on the official Chichibu Railway website.
    A turntable is at the Mitsumineguchi Station at the SL Tenshadai Park.
    I think this is the nearest regulary SL train near Tokyo

    As a foreigner that doesn’t know Japanese how would we order food and coffee as you did ? Is the menu in English ? The owners foreigner friendly ? We would have no clue as to how to communicate our orders .
    Is there a ticket booth where you bought the ticket for the boat ride ?
    Otherwise informative video with beautiful scenery

    I have travelled by trains in many countries but Japanese trains are absolutely so beautiful.
    Which month was this taken.
    I'm thinking of coming to Tokyo in may but don't how the weather will be and flight tickets are very expensive these days

    Whilst Chichibu looks really nice, I think that for me its a bit too far for a day trip. Maybe I will prefer to go there for a night (and check out the Nipponia accommodation). The yellow Laview train looks so cool !
