Maki & Ramen, located in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, is launching the giveaway as part of its new “Omotenashi” incentive, running from April 3 to April 30.
Every customer dining at the restaurant during this period will receive a scratchcard, and those who reveal a winning card will have their bill covered in full, with no strings attached.
Teddy Lee, CEO of Maki & Ramen, said: “Manchester has welcomed us with open arms from day one – and that means everything to us.
“We’ve wanted to find a way to give back to this city ever since we arrived, and Omotenashi feels like the perfect way to do that.
“Community has always been at the heart of Maki & Ramen, and this is just that spirit in action.”
Inspired by Japan’s ramen-yas, the restaurant is known for its handcrafted noodles, slow-simmered broths, and a menu featuring a variety of Japanese dishes.
Alongside its signature ramen and sushi, Maki & Ramen offers halal, vegan, and vegetarian options.
The giveaway is part of the restaurant’s Omotenashi incentive, named after the Japanese concept of hospitality that means anticipating a guest’s needs and giving sincerely, without expectation of anything in return.
Throughout the promotion, every diner at the Northern Quarter branch will receive a scratchcard, with winners receiving their meal for free.
The restaurant describes the offer as ‘a spontaneous act of generosity.’
Maki & Ramen NQ is located at The Landmark, 78-88 High St, Manchester, M4 1ES, with doors open daily from 12pm.
For a chance to win a free meal via the Omotenashi scratchcard promotion, customers can dine at the restaurant between April 3 and April 30.
