Back in February we found out that Pikmin are making a special appearance on the uniforms of Kyoto Sanga F.C. as the Meiji Yasuda J1 Hundred Year Vision League kicked off. To celebrate, a limited‑time Pikmin Bloom Special Spot has also appeared at Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA, the club’s home stadium, and it’ll be there until June 7th, 2026. Now we know that there’s even more to the collab between Pikmin and this soccer team. (h/t Genki)
On Saturday, May 2nd, during the match against Shimizu S-Pulse, Kyoto Sanga will be holding a collaborative event with Nintendo to host a “Kids Enjoy Day with Pikmin.” On the day of the event, the soccer team will be giving away Pikmin sun visors to the first 3,000 children who attend, but that’s not all. The team will also be setting up a photo spot, selling collaborative merchandise, and offering a variety of exciting events including a coloring corner and hands-on activities.
As far as the merch goes, the previously-released t-shirts, towel scarves, and drawstring bags will be up for grabs, but there will be some new goodies as well. You can look forward to getting your hands on metal keychains and water bottle holders featuring the uniform design, player numbers, and of course, Pikmin!
