Wakayama Japan Moto Tour [July 07-10 2025]

Me and Julian tour Wakayama Japan in what might just be the most beautiful and epic tour I have ever done to date. This prefecture has it all. Tall dry barren pines, high altitude climbs, vast large wide winding waterways, clear blue waters, roaring brown channels, hidden tucked away villages, countless shrines, epic scenery.

We started at osaka itami airport, rode route 480 to route 371 to route 198 to route 311, to stay the night in Shirahama. Day 2 we started on Route 34, to route 42, to route 37 along the hiki river, to route 371 along the koza river, to coastal route 42, to kushimoto. Day 3 we started going to Shinomisaki, to the southernmost point of honsu, to the kushimoto bridge to the Raiko shrine, to Kii Oshima island, and back to coastal route 42, to Nachi Falls, then up route 168 parallel to Kumano River, to stay the night at a guesthouse in Honguchu Hongu. Day 4 we started riding on Route 311 along the Kitayama River, to route 169, to route 168, to route 425, back to route 169 along the Ikehara Reservoir, to route 309 along the Kawahaza river, to the Mitarai swimming area, to route 53 along the Amano River, to Koya to end our tour and return to Osaka.
