Japan Travel 2026 | Part 2: Snow Festival, Street Food, Sapporo & Muroran

This is Part 2 of our 35-day journey through Japan — and things get a lot colder.

We travel north to Sapporo to experience the famous Snow Festival, explore the incredible snow sculptures, and try out some of the festival food. From there, we continue on to Muroran, slow things down a bit, and settle into everyday travel life in Japan.

Like the rest of this series, this isn’t a polished travel guide — just a real look at what our days actually looked like, including the good (and not-so-good).

This is part of a full 35-day trip across Japan, from Hokkaido all the way south to Yakushima.
