Kristian Bradshaw
Japanese law firm Mori Hamada & Matsumoto has bolstered its energy and infrastructure practice group with the appointment of Kristian Bradshaw as a partner in Tokyo.
Bradshaw joins the firm from Hunton Andrews Kurth, where he was a partner in the energy and infrastructure practice. Before that, he was a local partner at White & Case and served as general counsel at INPEX Corporation, a Japanese oil and gas exploration and production company.
“We recognise the increasing need for sophisticated, integrated legal support for clients navigating large-scale projects and new energy technologies. Kristian’s background, including his previous roles as a general counsel at INPEX Corporation and as a partner at international firms with leading energy and infrastructure practices, positions us well to meet these demands,” Mori Hamada managing partner Hiroki Aoyama told Asia Business Law Journal.
Aoyama added that the firm planned to “continue expanding our energy and infrastructure practice” and was “actively seeking to recruit additional lawyers with strong sector experience”.
Registered as a foreign lawyer in Japan, Bradshaw brings 20 years of experience across the Asia-Pacific. He advises on the structuring, development, financing and acquisition of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen and ammonia, renewable energy and digital infrastructure.
