We’re less than a week away from the North American release of The Super Mario Galaxy movie! Most of Japan has to wait a little longer to see it, but they did recently host the world premiere for cast, crew, and other VIPs. The premiere took place in Kyoto this morning, and it was livestreamed via the Nintendo Today app.
In addition to the celebrity voice cast, Mario bigwigs like Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka, and Koji Kondo were also in attendance. Miyamoto even gave a brief speech before the movie began, inviting the audience to try to count the number of characters on screen.
