
My family and I visited Yokohama and ate a place called Jyankare. It was so good, we found ourselves there 4 times during our trip to have the spicy beef curry. I have been dreaming about this curry since being home for 4 months, but I’m not sure exactly what it is. Upon research, it seems like it may be Kuro Curry. I wanted to ask if anyone knows what kind of curry this could be and what I would need to get to make the base at home. Thank you!

The menu has Demi glace mushroom and bacon cheese curry. Is this that?
According to Google maps reviews, じゃんかれ! (Junk curry) serves just one kind of curry, a [dry curry](https://www.kurashiru.com/us/recipes/2178bf6c-037f-4509-9301-fc96682a3cc8). Sometimes it’s pork, sometimes beef.
As the name suggests, it’s probably made from whatever leftovers/“junk” is at hand…
I was a bit taken aback by the presentation so had to look it up, but the reviews are quite good!
Looking through the menu photos I couldn’t really get much information about the roux, aside from the fact that they offer beef or pork. The “junk curry” toppings seems to be on a daily rotation. Perhaps the recipe is a trade secret. Would love to give it a try some time, thanks for sharing!
