We actually did it… 😳

To celebrate hitting 100,000 subscribers (still can’t believe that?!), we travelled all the way to Kyoto, Japan (by train, of course) to get a tattoo that you voted on… an antique compass 🧭

This whole trip was built around you guys — your votes, your ideas, and this community that’s grown into something we’re so incredibly grateful for

Thank you so much for being here. Truly. It means more than we can put into words

What started as a tattoo idea turned into a full adventure — travelling across Japan by train, visiting shrines, and squeezing in a couple of very busy Kyoto spots along the way 😅

And of course… it wouldn’t be one of our trips without something unexpected happening

Because on our way home, we saw something on the streets of Japan that genuinely stopped us in our tracks 😅

    I went to the shrine in July. It was way more crowded, and A LOT hotter! What was my opinion of the Inari Shrine: It was crowded, and it was hot!

    Just a small insight on the cultural difference: In many Asian cultures, especially in a professional setting like a tattoo studio in Japan, people tend to maintain a high level of professionalism and emotional restraint. It doesn't mean she wasn't happy for you, but showing big reactions to a stranger's personal milestone isn't common. She was likely just focusing on giving you the perfect service.

    the only “big” trains I’ve ever done were from Anaheim to San Luis Obisbo in CA, on the Amtrak Surfliner. I wish I knew how beautiful it was! I read a couple of books the whole time, thankfully I had a kind conductor who would come on the speaker and let us know if something scenic was coming up. I love when people love their jobs (: he could’ve said nothing, and I would’ve had no idea!

    Congrats on reaching 100k subs. As much as I like the train videos, it would be good if you could add more variety. This one was good with a bit more tourism but the ones that focus on trains get a bit boring when they are all one after the other.
