Okayama Castle is one of Japanâs most striking castles.
Known as the âCrow Castleâ because of its striking black exterior, the original castle was built in 1597 during Japanâs samurai era.

Look up to see the famous golden Shachihoko fish ornaments, mythical creatures believed to protect the castle from fire.
