OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police launched a murder investigation after a 74-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in Osaka City on Saturday, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Mar. 15).
At around 7:30 p.m., the husband of Hiromi Nomura called the fire department to report that he had found his wife collapsed inside their apartment in Kokubunji, Kita Ward.
According to the police, Nomura was pronounced dead at the scene.
Since Nomura had suffered external injuries, police are investigating the possibility that she had been murdered.
The apartment is a residential area approximately 200 meters northeast of Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station on the Osaka Metro.
