From Fukuoka to Kumamoto on a fancy Shinkansen: pirate statues from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, Kumamon everywhere, castle views, and already summer like spring heat.
Between streetcars and ice cream breaks, Kumamoto finally delivered something I had been searching for all trip.
