Join us as we spend one week cycling the entire island of Kyushu, Japan—from the northern city of Fukuoka all the way to Kagoshima in the south.

Our journey ended with a ride around Sakurajima volcano and a ferry into Kagoshima to catch our train home.

  2. Hi Tim and Rachel, thanks for the great videos and reports on Fukuoka now. We are a couple from France and England and are cycling around the world for a year. We are just planning the last part from Aso to Fukuoka. Your route in this video looks nice but in your article on Fukuoka Now you also mention there are slightly longer, more scenic alternatives. Could you suggest anything in particular please that you have tried, or if you have heard the roads are nice and quiet? Put it this way, if you have one ride from Aso to Fukuoka, which route would you take! Thanks a lot! Cheers, Alex
