Plush dolls have a great life. They get to spend time with their owners being hugged, kissed, and generally loved every single day. Of course, all that heavy petting leads to plushies that tend to get a bit squished, squashed and dirty, but thankfully one company in Japan is more than willing to step in and freshen up the beloved toys.
A dry cleaning company in Yamanashi, Japan has just gone viral online for sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how they bring much-loved plushies back to life with a very deep cleanse. While the company wasn’t started to clean plushies, it seems they’ve become the go-to group for just that.
In the video above you can see the company put their expertise to use by cleaning a bounty of plush Pikachu dolls, including the original “fat Pikachu” design that so many players still love. There’s no doubt some of the plump Pikachu plushies are decades old and are in serious need of some TLC, and this Japanese company is clearly more than up to the task. The end result is a plush that looks just as good as the day it was purchased!
