X-ELIO secured nearly 30 MW (AC) of solar capacity in Japan’s 27th Feed-in Premium (FIP) auction. The awards cover two projects in Hokkaido: Minetomari and Kushiro Niino.The company obtained 10 MW (AC) for the Minetomari project in Ishikari with a winning price of JPY 5.12 per kWh. The project will have an installed capacity of 15 MW and is expected to generate about 16,848 MWh annually.The Kushiro Niino project in Kushiro secured 20 MWac with a winning price of JPY 4.67 per kWh. The plant will have a capacity of 27 MW and an estimated annual output of 36,147 MWh.In total, X-ELIO captured close to 38% of the 79 MW awarded in the auction round. The projects expand the company’s solar portfolio in Hokkaido and contribute additional renewable generation capacity in Japan.
