Here’s the full tour of the whole iHouse, the dorm for one or two-semester international students! In this video, I show you around the facilities at the dorm. I have another video uploaded showing the bedrooms.

Save this to your locations on your Google Maps App!
京都産業大学国際交流会館 | iHouse address:
京都産業大学 | Kyoto Sangyo University
Nearby train stations:
Nikenchaya Station – Eizan Kurama Line (This one is more expensive)
Kokusaikaikan Station – Karasuma Line
• Get an Icoca IC card to use on the trains, buses and conbini’s.
• When you arrive with all your luggage at Kyoto station I recommend catching the Karasuma line to Kitaoji station then catching a taxi to the dorm, The taxi we caught was around ¥1700-2000.
• The iHouse assistants will greet you when you arrive and help take your luggage to your room.
• I recommend getting a data sim for your phone. I used Sakura Mobile for my data sim and iVideo for my pocket wifi (my dorm room couldn’t get wifi)
• Within walking distance of the dorm, there is a 7eleven conbini that has a foreigner card friendly ATM, you will need to get cash out to pay for everything as Japan is a cash-based society. Further up the road, there is a Mini-Stop conbini that has fancy ice creams.
• To get groceries we would catch the free shuttle from the KSU Campus bus stop to Kamigamo Jinja then walk to Fresco or Kyoto Coop supermarkets, there’s also a 100 Yen Lawson.
• If you need any help or advice the staff at the dorm, iHouse assistants or the Centre for International Programs office are very helpful.
