This video should have been named, Bad News Bears Go Skiing in Japan ..
I am a local skier and Niseko is too highly crowded with western people.. maybe try the middle part of the island such as tomamu and asahidake ropeway. And tohoku region is a hidden gem for sure, still not many western people over there.
I would have feared for my safety skiing with that group… all that being said it looks like they had a good time.

I've lost count at the number of times the Joey in the red coat wiped out.
Backpacks on lift rule #1: if you don't take it off, still check you aren't catching on anything well before the lift unloads.
Looks like such a blast, glad you all had so much fun!
Gonna be at Niseko next week! Snow gods please please please bless me with a spring dump 🤞
1:48 The jumbo pack being the only English thing killed me 😂
An American saying "Got Nuked" while in Japan is a… Bold choice of words.
Oh, you don't need poles with chairs running
Thank you for sharing. That powder is incredible!
It seems you went to the bigger destination Japanese ski areas, which is fine for a first trip. But there are many, MANY lesser known and quieter ski resorts where the snow is just as good and crowds are a non-existent problem. Going off the beaten path is so worth it
Epic! What dates were you there?
Splitting the cost of a local guide would have probably been worth it.
I'd do one of those trips if everyone kicked in some money to hire a translator/local guide. Also, I'd want to just stay on Hokkaido the whole time, not waste any precious vacation time traveling around the bigger parts of Japan.
Idk man. Going to Japan and mostly going to 7/11 for food and not eating the nori, a basic staple? This trip doesn't seem like any of you really explored the culture you're in. Yes, you all went into town and rode public transit, but something about all this footage feels off. Borderline disrespectful. Not my favorite of your trips
You might want to fix the thumbnail, taking prisoners of war is looked down upon during times of peace no matter how good the prisoners are.
what day in Feb was this? I was there until 23rd and it was 40degrees F
looks like half the group were beginners xD
Gajinsmash x100 lol. Looks like you had a good time, as a long time viewer based in Japan, its great to see you come out here and i hope in the future maybe i dont know get some local guides involved so you can maximize your experience. Realistically you need someone who knows the resorts and can speak Japanese.
Japan is in its own league when comes to skiing. I think the US ski resorts have a lot to learn from the Japanese. For one thing, the left tickets are way more reaonable in Japan and second, the foods are infinitely better. Only problem? not much sun shine, frequently foggy weather.
I’m Japanese and I always go to Happo one
The all ball, but skills guy from the Church is back haha, love that guy
Skiing looks good, views look dark and gloomy
Edit: ok so I said this before the 20 minute mark lol
Def not helping the mindset of the typical American tourist
Wait a minute, you couldn't go to costco in japan and had to go to a regular supermarket? Dang that sucks. Imagine having to suffer through new experiences.
I have a couple nights booked in Hakuba next week. I hope I'm able to navigate Happo-One easier than you did 😂
