自分のエルグランドがブレーキ類の修理のために日産のディーラーに修理に出したのだが、夕方まで作業がかかるとの事。よって代車を貸してくれたのだが、日産の電気自動車リーフを貸してくれた。アクセルを踏み込んだ感じが予想以上に加速した。プリウスと同等かと思ったんだが、それ以上であった。電気自動車だけあり、静粛性に優れるが、細い路地を通る場合、人々が後ろから来ているのを認識出来ないなどの難点もある。あとは電気充電出来る場所が現在少ないという事で、現状では長距離ドライブにはむかない。5ドアのハッチバックでインストルメントパネルを採用している。販売は国内だけでなく、欧米各地にも販路を広げ、これから販売台数が増加していくであろう。将来的には、ガソリンがいらない（中東諸国は困るだろうが）自動車が増えてくれる事を願う。
